It’s deeply encouraging to see footage of hostages reuniting with their families and to see Israeli forces withdrawing from Gaza.

There are obviously many more steps to achieving a lasting peace but today’s developments should give us all a profound sense of hope.

I will do you one better. Jews are not allowed to leave their house on the Sabbath. So what do many do? Put a string around their community and declare the whole town their house so they can go shopping.
