Don't be surprised if Trump invokes the Insurrection Act and declares martial law in certain cities on Friday, or perhaps even as late as the wee hours of Saturday morning. He has immunity. SCOTUS is in his pocket. He's a vandal, and nothing would make him happier than violence.

If we currently had a mayor who hadn't already cut a deal with Trump to erase his Federal indictments it might be different. Adams can be blackmailed by Trump now, or even see his indictments restored. Expect nothing from that foul weakling.

At bottom, Trump is little more than a teenaged vandal who adores the sound of breaking glass. This would certainly give him his vandal's "fix." With the Roberts court immunity, he no longer worries about consequences.

I've always hated the idea of judges running for election to the bench. They should not be pandering for votes. I wish that states having elected judges would do away with the practice.

DHS was always a terrible idea. It's the largest police force/semi-military organization in the world. In the hands of Trump it's a praetorian guard and, quite predictably, spouts lies on a daily basis. It needs to be broken up and abolished. It is DANGEROUS.
