True. And sitting with the pain, discomfort, sadness eventually leads to the sweet reward of freedom.
Sometimes, in trauma recovery, getting better does not always mean feeling better.
We developed coping skills, distractions & distortions to feel better in the short term, but they didn't heal. Healing doesn't just mean feeling better, it means becoming better at feeling ❤️🩹
