It's almost like rich people only want other humans to be consumers, not...wage earners. They are constantly seeking ways to put humans out of jobs so they themselves don't have to pay wages and can be richer. We can't consume if we don't have wages, dumbasses.

without birthright citizenship in the united states, you don't have a democracy and you don't have rule of law.

revoking birthright citizenship gives fascists free rein to purge the country of literally anyone they don't like. it opens the door to atrocities and mass murder. i am not exaggerating.

Now for the info you REALLY want....the #dailysteve! He is very sad here that he knocked his cat treat down the vent. He likes to bat them around and chase them before eating.

So like, I don’t want to get too alarmist, but “they might have still had drugs and they might have salvaged those drugs and those drugs might have wound up in the United States eventually” is, at root, a rationale to murder anybody you want, anywhere, at any time.
2/ Problems for Bradley's credibility.

On left:

Bradley argued to lawmakers was "still a possibility" drugs could've ultimately made way to US.

On right:

Trump State Department: "Suriname is a transit country for South American cocaine, the majority of which is likely destined for Europe."

I am early today with some Steve action. Here he is with the bros. The ginger and flame point are kinda sorta a bonded pair but they tolerate Steve quite well. #dailysteve

Daily Steve is a wee hours of the next day Steve because Yesterday Jody was Doing Other Things. Steve is Not Best Pleased (by the intermittent capitalization, probably.) #dailysteve

Here is Steve from a few months ago enjoying his nightly wet food. He's a BIG fan. I am a big fan of that little white sploot in the middle of his grey tabby part. #dailysteve

Just a very elegant profile shot as he waits for me to bring my plate to the table so he can try to eat off it. I love the way his nose has that roundness. #dailysteve

It be people who have never applied for a single government service bemoaning the idea of people "who don't need it," getting access to it. And like, that is not a problem we have. Our problem is that these systems are so Byzantine that many people who need them cannot access them.
I’m trying very hard to be measured about this conversation but I am so, so frustrated with the idea that accommodations are easy to get and enforce. They are not, and every parent of a disabled child spends an extremely considerable amount of time getting them and then making sure they’re enforced

What’s the worst question someone can ask after you tell them your profession? For linguists, it’s definitely “how many languages do you speak?”, but I’m curious what else is happening to the rest of y’all out there?!

Remember, the big argument for AI in the arts is that these “artists” have ideas, hundreds of ideas, thousands, all that was stopping them was the hoards of gatekeeping musicians, writers, illustrators… and not that they were lazy and didn’t want to put in the work.
