Angry music and lots of effort should do the trick. It always helps me.

Kasper cheated on me in my dream last night. It was a real nightmare of a situation. He was just screwing anyone around, right in front of me and arguing with me when I confronted him as though it was my problem. As a result, he’s in my bad books today.

He falls asleep fine though. It’s that 2-3am time that’s the problem.

Ha ha! I can’t imagine Kasper ever eating cereal without sugar. He’s like a child! We generally eat a very high fibre diet though. Half a bag of sprouts each with our dinner every night, which is also full of veggies. Plus rye bread, dates, porridge etc.

Yeah, we both do, but still seem to take it in turns to have shit sleep. It doesn’t take much to make either of us overthink at 3am.

Clearly that’s a lie. Caffeine is the only drug I indulge in. And maybe 5 units of alcohol a year. I’m basically a monk.

(I do not take performance enhancing drugs. Only recreational ones).

I’m getting angry before I even get there. Must be all the ‘roids!

There is a gym right next door designed for circuit training. There is no need to be coming into the bodybuilding gym to do circuits.
jodlepodle.bsky.social
By that I mean weird exercises, taking up 15 machines at the same time because they’re doing circuits and not putting their weights away.

I have no jobs to do today. Just gym, exam prep and a long walk. As a result, I’m having a chilled out morning and will be going to the gym a bit later. I will regret this because it’s school holidays, so there will be tourists at the gym doing their Copenhagen wankery.

Poor Kasper had a shit night and was awake from 2. He also has to work today. He’s going to be so tired.
jodlepodle.bsky.social
I got up at 3 this morning because Kasper did and I was awake too. I quickly realised that I was still really tired, so I went back to bed and managed to sleep until 6:15. Blooming teenager level sleeping!

And neither should you. It’s good for your soul. It just takes your body a while to catch up.

Same! If it’s in the house, it’s getting scoffed.

That sparkler one still haunts my nightmares.

Same as us here in Denmark. We’re the wimps of Scandinavia. Only in terms of weather, of course!

It’s one of the joys of being home at lunchtime. Those lunches that you can’t take to work with you. An omelette or a toastie or beans on toast. Ooh, or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.
jodlepodle.bsky.social
Just eating a really simple cheese omelette for lunch. It’s scrummy.

Yeah, and there are always workarounds to reduce strain on the painful parts. I have a really dodgy elbow, which affects how I train biceps. I just do lighter weights for higher reps and there are some exercises I just can’t do, so I don’t.

Been to the gym, dropped Kasper’s car off to get the tyres changed, so now all that’s left to do is a bit of exam prep, a walk and nap. These days off are like a dream. Just what I needed.

I work with the elderly and I can promise you, you don’t want the future that “accepting your fate” will lead to. It’s only your fate if you let it be.
jodlepodle.bsky.social
Do it! Definitely don’t give in to aging. Exercise is what keeps you going and makes you capable of getting out of your chair when you get old. Even gentle exercise that doesn’t give you pain is better than nothing.

He says he thinks he dreams in English 🤣
jodlepodle.bsky.social
It’s actually weirder that he usually wakes up and switches directly to his second language. I wonder if he dreams in English or Danish. Probably both. I’ll have to ask him.
