Unique knitting patterns, hand knits. Love to garden (US zone 5). A rural southern Oregon blue dot in a red sea. Born and raised in Adelaide, came to the US for 2 years, 50 years ago. Life happens.

Oh, & the result of the stewed pears experiment was that I decided these are really not worth canning & I now understand the reason that they are also called sand pears. The flavor is quite nice but the texture is not. I suppose I could try jelly...
Now in eastern Oregon, we just have freezing fog, which burns off by 10 am leaving us with a bright blue sky. Cold though...
#ShowMeYourKnits cable week. I used cables to turn this pussy hat pattern into an owl. You can find the owl pattern here. www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib... or I could knit one for you. 🧶
Starting about 5 years ago we have a couple of trepid hummingbirds that stay all winter. In the end I bought a heater for the feeder so that they would have food after those below zero (F) nights!
Gardening during the day and cozy murder mystery audiobooks at night. Gardening is coming to an end though so I'll have to find something else for the day.

Always good to know if there's a black bear on the other side! Luckily, I haven't had to worry about bears.

That sounds good but I'm pretty lazy about lunch and I just have tomato on toast every day. Tomato seedlings were all from a friend this year and turns out she likes mild flavored tomatoes, while I like mine to show a bit of acid.
Some autumn leaves for #ShowMeYourKnits autumn projects. The pattern is available on Ravelry www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

Yep, all of them, even a second MMR though I'm 79. Second shingles coming up this month along with flu and Covid (now that it's available without a prescription). NO side effects at all.
In Adelaide, 50 years ago, they were always sleepy lizards.
I've been gone from Australia for 50 years now but some things I still miss, and sleepy lizards are one of them.
Thing is, I use my account daily. If I delete info the account won't function properly.
I got one of those emails. I reported and forwarded it to PayPal as a phishing email.

I don't have O'Henry - my Oregon Curlfree produced hundreds of peaches that are juicy & delicious. I'm busy canning, & freezing, & drying. I also made peach sauce, which my husband has just finished pouring over ice cream. What I started out to say, was that I'm sure you can manage more than 1/day!

None in my garden this year either.
My gosh, that's an awful lot of work for just the 2 of you. It must give you great satisfaction though.
