Two weeks today we leave our little slice of Paradise to move to a new home. It will be a bit busier and not as isolated (part of the reason for the move).
I love living in the Okanagan and we arent moving too far away but I will miss these neighbours (I'm guessing fawns are due soon)

...a few takeaways
First my grandson wasn't hurt but the asshole had no right to touch him over a silly game.
2nd my son and DIL really took to heart "lesson learned" and kids should think before listening to someone else's idea of fun.

It was heartwrenching. Ironically just last week my three grandchildren (they live on acreage) were coerced into playing DING Dong Ditch in a friend's townhome complex. The homeowner came out grabbed my grandson (13) punched him. The guy has a reputation for losing his temper.

Watching a British show. There is an area devoted to bringing the beavers back to manage the land the way it should be. Our arrogant British ancestors raped the land, destroyed wildlife and are attempting now to fix it.
We're just a smidge better and have Indigenous guides that we now listen to.
