A bit different to last night

I genuinely think that was one of the best shows I’ve been too.

It’s often better when a band has no album to promote and just plays good songs (and The Gloaming…)

It’s Radiohead day!

And I am now aware it’s been over 15 years since the greatest live performance I ever witnessed youtu.be/asqFSCySFck?...

On the latest, unsurprising "Farage likes Hitler" news bsky.app/profile/jmor...
I’m starting to think that the obsession with WWII was fighting foreigners rather than fascism…

"Resisting is hard, but maybe if we do almost everything the far-right want now, when they inevitably take power from us they'll go easy and not march us up against the wall first..."
That's right! We should destroy human rights so that Keir Starmer can win* the next general election!

*Make it even more likely he'll lose by mainstreaming the far right politics he pretends to oppose
Starmer urges Europe’s leaders to curb ECHR to halt rise of far right
Exclusive: PM calls for members of European convention on human rights to allow tougher action to protect borders

So Dresden elect a cult of car lobbyists and at the first opportunity they get they work with the AfD to gut the public transport authority...

This is the worst ‘I need a holiday after the holiday’ feeling yet

I detest Stansted Airport

Take the positives - England have taken it to a 4th day and might not lose by an innings…

Back on the trains

As I explain to others: Imagine it takes 5 days to read a novel. The ending is never truly known until it happens and sometimes you’ll get through it quicker
I'm a late convert to test cricket but now absolutely love it.

I think it's one of the very few things in life comparable to a novel - with different acts, a specific setting, character arcs that rise and fall, the beginning may end up being nothing like the end

I am left-handed and grew up in more enlightened times (I wasn’t caned or accused of being possessed by the devil)…yet still got called back-handed, humiliated by teachers for ‘failing’ to do arts and crafts with right handed tools, coached badly at racquet sports…
You joke, but if we just went back to physically beating children any time they tried using their left and telling them they were possessed by the devil whenever they did, I reckon we could get them numbers back into single digits

England have batted out a day’s play!
December 4, 2025 at 11:32 AM
Thankfully the cricket is on and England aren’t embarrassing otherwise I’d be ripping out the tv cables from the wall.

It is horrifying that GB News is allowed to air

Train delayed 1 hour and now will terminate at the next station….

Luckily that’s where I wanted to go
December 2, 2025 at 1:46 PM
The trains issue is infuriating and I feel is a result of not wanting to spend money ever on anything which ends up being way more expensive and inefficient anyway
December 2, 2025 at 12:53 PM
More Trains!
December 2, 2025 at 12:48 PM
Good news! I don’t have to take a train today
