WIP of my first ever jelly gouache art - I thought a landscape study would be a good subject to get into - and then I realised I'm not actually that good at landscapes yet 😅

anyway, I'll add a fine detail layer with coloured pencils later. Can't get fine details with brushes, thanks shaky hands :-\

The 'thinking about it daily' is such an important part of the process! Also the first sign a story might need to be spiced up, if it refuses to take up brain-space

Lean into fun and self-indulgence! I personally struggle the most when projects aren't fun and exciting for me, and am trying to improve at adding in silly but motivating things into my draft, especially if it is only a first or even zero draft!
