“What I can say with certainty is this: humanity’s presence on Sicarria, however it came to be, has become as natural as the Wood Elves in their forests or the Dwarves in their mountains. We are no longer visitors or refugees. We are Sicarrian, and this world is our home.” - Herodian Bellator #Books

Just wanna note that there may be typos and such on my World Anvil page, I apologize in advance for that, haha. Working on it as I go, feedback and thoughts are much appreciated. Also a lot of this stuff is just highlights and cliff notes, so not everything is included.

Been working on some stuff on World Anvil, it’s not much and it does not include much from my books, mainly just history for my world.

“Know that your true King, your Lord of Dread, your Bringer of Suffering will always be with you. I am the shadow that will live on long after this death. You will never forget my reign.”

My books are never far from my thoughts despite everything going on.

“They called him many things—the Lord of Dread, the Bringer of Suffering—but his true name was Archelaos…” - Excerpt from The Life of the Dread Sovereign, Archelaos.

Ignore the guy preaching 🙄. Beyond that it was peaceful, we had both sides of the street. Our local sheriff even stopped by and shook hands with a few people, thanked us for coming out.

I will be attending the No Kings Protest here in Roswell, New Mexico on Saturday. Won’t lie, I’m a little anxious about it as Roswell is sadly filled with MAGA aligned folks, but I hope for the best.

“There will be times when the struggle seems impossible. I know this already. Alone, unsure, dwarfed by the scale of the enemy. Remember this. Freedom is a pure idea. It occurs spontaneously and without instruction.” - Nemik’s Manifesto, Andor.

And don’t even get me started on the whole Madleen situation, like this world just makes me so sick sometimes… but maybe that’s a good thing, cause it at least means I still have empathy and compassion for fellow human beings.

And also just with everything going on and familial issues, I’ve put a pause on working on my books, because it’s just… hard? Like my heart feels so heavy, not just with the stuff in LA, but like with everything going on in this country.

I was born in Oxnard, CA, but I spent a majority of my childhood in LA and LA County, so what’s happening there it’s just… It’s kind of just like an attack on my home city, or at least a place that was and still is important to me. I may be almost 1000 miles away now, but this still hurts.

Also from everything I’m seeing on TikTok and hearing from a couple of friends in LA, things have for the most part calmed down, not that they were really bad to begin with, so the National Guard being called in was completely unnecessary and still is as of this moment.
June 8, 2025 at 5:25 PM
If what Rep. Nanette Barragán said is true about ICE remaining in LA County for 30 days is true, and Trump’s memorandum authorizes the National Guard to be on the ground for 60 days. I’m sorry, am I missing something? Might as well call it an occupation at this point.

When you make tuna fish patties and forget to add the Mayo into the mix and just completely from the recipe 🤦🏼‍♂️. I mean, they turned out bomb, but, yeah… awkward.

Most of the drafts I did for my book were on paper, so as I sit here typing it all up, I realized I fell short on the word count goal I gave myself. So it’s back to the writing board to try and expand the story for the book. Revision 26 here I come! #Books #BookSky

Unnoticed by the group, a pair of eyes watched them from the darkness, the faint outline of a figure dissolving into the shadows.

A quiet desert town. A family with a forgotten past. When strangers arrive—some as allies, others as hunters—reality unravels. Shadows move, magic stirs, and a path to another world opens. If they fail, both worlds will fall—for their fate isn’t just their own. #EchoesUnfold #BookSky #Books

“And so we drink, for those now gone,
For broken oaths and battles wronged,
Raise a glass, but bow thy head,
For Sun’dale’iar, the land of the dead.”

Final snippet from The Fall of Sun’dale’iar, a Bard’s Lament. I had said there was three verses left, but I suck at math, so don’t mind me.

“The dawn arose, yet none remained,
Only ash and echoes pained,
The halls of kings, now dust and stone,
A grave for those who died alone,”

“Blades of fire, a tempest fell,
Voices rose in a shattered knell,
Walls once strong, now burned and torn,
A kingdom lost, a people mourned,”

“Yet darkness crept on silent wing,
A fate no seer nor bell did ring,
Storms unfurled with death in their wake,
And the heart of the city began to break,”

“Once towers of gold touched the sky,
Silvered spires where eagles would fly,
Rivers ran swift with crystal so clear,
A realm without shadow, a home without fear,”

I just wonder, as someone who loves History and tries to recognize patterns, but um… how long do we need to repeat cycles over and over again before it finally clicks?

“Oh gather ye close, by the fire’s warm glow,
And hear of a city lost long ago.
Sun’dale’iar, the jewel so bright,
Fell ‘neath the shroud of an endless night.”
