Wrapped my first mini campaign (three games, levels 1-2) of #daggerheart. Very good experience! We played Age of Umbra, and players were intrigued in seeing the other campaign frameworks, as well as continuing this one. Currently feeling like a clear alternative to DnD for me. #ttrpg

If your esthetic isn’t chipped nail polish I don’t know if we should be friends

Love it! You may want to check out Ryuutama or Break!! Both have this character stereotype in spades

I ran #DnD for brand new players. How did it go, and what would I do differently? www.roleplayletters.com/2025/10/10/d... #ttrpg
Cover of Finnish red box Dungeons & Dragons, by Larry Elmore. It depicts a viking style warrior charging a bright red dragon, sitting on a pile of gold.

Can’t think anybody else in the world could sell me their unedited voice memos two at a time (okay, plus two acoustic versions of songs) and me loving them for it. Showgirl’s really grown on me

Spending time and as much brain power as I can spare on roleplaying games and with friends is self care.

The world is so shit right now I feel I’m getting dumber and more complicit every day I look at the news. Instead: woke up after, oh, two hours of sleep thanks to a dog with an ear infection to realize my brain had solved the problem I had with the weekend’s #ttrpg game last night. Thanks, brain!

We played Daggerheart: Age of Umbra. I had a good time, looking forward to more this week! Report from the table: www.roleplayletters.com/2025/09/29/d... #ttrpg #daggerheart @daggerheartrpg.bsky.social
15 3D printed resin skulls on a linen cloth, painted dark gray. I used them as Fear tokens in the game

All painted up at the table
12 3D printed human skulls, 15 mm across the dome. On a linen cloth. Painted dark gray by me

Getting ready to run my first game of Daggerheart tomorrow. I realized late last night that I need Fear tokens. I had some skulls around but they were too small to handle. Printed some more, and these are perfect at about 15 mm for the dome #ttrpg
15 3D printed resin skulls, airbrushed black and gray, on a messy paper in my airbrush booth. I only need 12 for the game, but good to have extras - resin breaks easily when handled carelessly at the table

I often think about how the UK back then decided "ninja" was a bad word

I’m also wary that no one has done this before, to the best of my Google fu. Perhaps there are good reasons for it, or maybe the two audiences don’t align as much as they do in our circles.

Tonight we played session 11 of Masks of Nyarlathotep, a year into the campaign. Still all of original cast intact. Second game in London. Need to get the breaks to a month at most… Next week: Daggerheart, Age of Umbra! #ttrpg

It is interesting and I am open to someone studying it more in depth. For now I’m content to buy STLs from small artists and studios instead of global companies, and contributing less to global shipping. It feels like a healthier hobby to me, but then I’m biased because I have all the equipment.

This book is so good! Big ideas, big characters, big drama. I haven’t read anything else as singles since DIE wrapped
