A few days after posting this, Chatgpt broke. Started ignoring my mistakes and saying I was doing everything right. It even interrupts in the middle of replies to praise. Totally useless suck up. A different AI app specialized on the language I'm learning still works. No attitude there
LLMs are a really good tool for language learning:
- Speech to text and text to speech as trainers for pronunciation
- Automatic generation of graded texts and dialogues based on (a growing) vocabulary lists
- Conversation assistants that introduce a few words every time, challenging the student.
