This is actually a very interesting topic. It is about what is the role of government. For you and I, it is about making the lives of constituents better. For Republican is it about making businesses more profitable. This difference is why we can't have nice things.

This is the why we MUST get a new constitutional amendment as follows:

Money is not speech it is property. Corporations are not people. Only people can contribute to ANY political group to a limit of $5,000.

I agree that this action is running an idea up the flag pole. If after the midterm elections the Democrats elect enough representatives to take over the house, speaker Johnson will not swear them in and the Republican will retain the house. This of course is absurd but Republican will do ANYTHING.

ICE is not there as the border patrol police force. They are there to instill fear and foment terror. All one has to do to verify this is to look at their tactics. No police force would do what they do.

I do appreciate the move by the reporters, leaving also gives the pentagon EXACTLY what they want which is no coverage at all. I do not know what the solution is but this of course will not turn out well for the American people who deserve to know that is happening with billions and people lives.

If we as a nation wish to reduce the cost of our health care, we need to adopt what all other industrialized nations on earth have done which is single payer universal health care. Democrats MUST advocate for this and tell the detractors to go fly a kite!

It is well past time for the Democrats to work on getting Americans what every other industrialized nations on earth have, single payer universal health care! In all nations that adopted single payer univeral health care the cost went down! out for-profit health system is killing us!

I believe we need a new constitutional amendment. Yes I know they are next to impossible to get, but I think the VAST majority of voters would support this.

Money is not speech it is property. Corporations are not people. Only people may contribute to a political group to a limited amount.

I completely agree with you. I would add that only humans (voters) may give money to ANY political organization. There should be no PACs, no corporate giving. There should also be a limit of say $5,000 so that rich people cannot buy votes.

I am glad to read this. The media CANNOT just give up their first amendment rights. It is in the first amendment because it is vital for the continuence of our republic.

Thank you AOC for your support of people that MUST have drugs in order to remain healthy. I ask you in the near future to support what every other industrialized nations on earth have which is single payer universal health care. It would be cheaper and ALL people would be covered.

The Republicans are trying to 'cheat' there way to retaining power in the house. It is upon us to vote in massive numbers to remove the Republicans in the house regardless of how they gerrymander.

I support this type of resistance. This is all illegal by the fourth amendment (probable cause) and the sixth amendment (... confronted with the witnesses against him [not when ICE are masked]). When will some courageous lawyers start taking these ICE thugs to court?

The time is NOW for Americans to receive what every other industrialized nations on earth already have, single payer universal healthcare! It is cheaper the the for-profit system we have now and people will not end up in bankruptcy.

Congressman Jeffries, please remeber this treatment when Democrats control the house. We are at war with an authoritarian regime. We can no longer afford to 'play nice'. It is time to play hard ball and get America back to what it should be.

This is all illegal by the 4th amendment (probable cause). I know that SCOTUS said it was OK, but that is complete BS. The fourth amendment is NOT complex. Only ignoring it could SCOTUS say this was OK.
