I didn’t realize “battery scientist” was a real job until I was 22 and graduating with a physics degree.

Strange, isn’t it? We’re surrounded by batteries in phones, laptops, toys, but usually only notice them when they stop working.

Lithium-Sulfur batteries shine on gravimetric energy density (Wh/kg).

But volumetric energy density (Wh/L) is the sticking point: low packing density + liquid electrolyte.
