In Louisiana, people will now be required to work 80+ hours a month to get food stamps, unless they are disabled or over 64 years old. Working 80 hours a month reduces or eliminates the benefit altogether.
The reporting requirements are likely to result in eligible people dropping out.

California just banned employers from forcing workers to pay a debt, fee, or penalty to leave their job.

Bosses have increasingly been trapping workers with debts incurred in training and other exploitative fees.

Now that's illegal in the nation's biggest state.

We look like obstructionists to them.
The whole thing is sickening.
