FYI for BC residents, if you want a COVID booster/flu shot, I was able to search in my emails for a previous "Book your next vaccine appointment" from a previous year and click on the link and it just let me schedule my covid vaccine.

In the Can-Con classic, Drinking In LA by Bran Van 3000, the singer asks “What the hell am I doing drinking in LA at 26?” Is she saying that’s too old? Couldn’t possibly mean too young? 26 seems like a perfectly reasonable age to be drinking in LA.

Covid & flu vaccines are @ BC pharmacies now. Oct 14 is first day they are available to general public. Some folks are using old vaccine invite email links to book appts on the get vaccinated online booking system. You can also call or visit your pharmacy to book, or wait for your invitation email.

Police in Airdrie, Alberta (just north of Calgary) say this driver hit a 17-year-old girl in a marked crosswalk, got out of the vehicle, and appeared to get upset at the teenager before driving away.

They released this video and are now trying to identify the driver.

Love that we pay cops hundreds of thousands of dollars to eat ice cream at festivals in the summer, and then get told that the city is broke in the winter.

47 VPD officers were paid more than $100K in OT last year, including 7 constables who more than doubled their possible $140K salaries. One sergeant raked in $239K in OT on top of possible $158K salary.

Meanwhile, the force went $6.5M over its $400M+ budget.
