I spend the entire afternoon paddle boarding part of the Clarion river I’d never been on before, with my cousin, one of my favorite people. And for those five hours, life was easy and normal and I’m so grateful for that.

This morning on the Mon.

My summer so far can be summed up as follows: ate snacks on the back porch until it got too hot, then ate snacks inside

Took less than 5 minutes to make a vet appointment for two of my dogs. Took me over two hours to make a doctor appointment for myself and I’m still not 100% sure that my health insurance will cover it. Maybe I should try getting pet insurance for myself?

Haven’t even moved into our new house full time yet and we’ve already met more neighbors than every place we’ve lived in for the last 20 years combined. Is this a Pittsburgh thing or a walkable neighborhood thing or both?

Peak Sunday morning happiness

I can’t believe how much the quality of my life has diminished by living some place where I have to drive for everything. Can’t wait to move back to a city

So far, one of my favorite things about being on Pittsburgh’s south side is walking to vegan Sunday brunch at the Zenith. What a treasure!

After deactivating all my meta apps I’ve come to realize all my friends live really far away and I haven’t done a very good job keeping in touch with them.
