Where false professions of Christianity by the likes of Trump, Vance, Kirk, Huckabee and White-Cain are concerned, the writings, witness and example of Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer (arrested by the Nazis in 1943 and murdered in 1945) might and should be brought back into strong light and focus.

No argument about disagreement, censorship and attack, Mr #Poilievre. But if you think it reasonable to characterise Charlie Kirk's bigoted positions as "a contrary point of view", and if you think the USA is currently a healthy democracy, you need to reexamine your senses of reality and morality.

But don’t say we have to grieve Charlie Kirk. No one HAS to do that. Hate that he was murdered, sure. Condemn entirely the violent direction of US political discourse, yes. But grieve that guy? THAT guy? No way.

I know it's all too easy to point out hypocrisy but are we seeing a great outbreak of Republican 'thoughts and prayers'? Are they urging people not to rush to politicise this? Are they insisting that the shooter was mentally ill rather than ideological?

So atmospheric. Logopolis has many of my favourite Adric moments, with him questioning the Doctor and reacting to revelation after revelation as that sepulchral atmosphere builds in the first two eps. You took this 8 yo right along with you. As for Castrovalva: "Me! I'm the trap..." Marvellous.

Kids on our street would watch ant colonies up close and happily flick them off our custard creams, but when the flying ants appeared we'd all leg it indoors. I remember the trauma of one crashing into my 99 Flake, which I immediately threw into next door's garden. Ants with wings. Ain't natural.
