Permission to acquire more stuff
Even if the effect on others is rough.
#SNAP isn't needed by the rich
The poor don’t matter a stich.
Donald has all the cheeseburgers he needs
The poor disappear in the weeds.

Congress refuses to go to work
The king plays with his ballroom perk
Billionaires see their stocks soar
The rest of us struggle and stay poor.
It’s shows America is really great
At cruel chaos, it’s checkmate.

#Comedians are his current prey.
The #1stAmendment is no protection
He ignores it without introspection.
#McCarthyism was a stain on history
That it was filled with casualties is no mystery.
That now seems like a little bump
As #MAGA attacks all foes of Trump.

Independent agencies were created
Because Reps saw stuff was complicated.
A complex society can’t operate
Without experts advising the state.
Essential regulation can’t be made
Unless knowledge is gathered & relayed.
The Courts and Congress aren’t qualified.
Disrupting agencies is cockeyed.

It’s long been true of course
But, each death points to preferring force.
To disagree without being disagreeable
Remains, sadly, unforeseeable.

No national injunctions build a wedge.
If one court rules #BirthRight must stop
And another no, it creates slop.
One area’s babies are citizens at birth
Another’s are not, so have no U.S. worth.
The implications are divisive
The Court must be dismissive.
