I've been trying really hard to burn down the open issue count in Wolverine to 50 or under. Every time I come close, a bunch of new things come in. Just made it to that threshold, and I'm refusing to check the open issues for a couple days!

I can't tell you how many times I listened to this doing homework in college.

Oh, noes! RIP Raul Malo, one of my all time favorite musicians with the Mavericks or all by himself. I proposed to my wife right before we went to see Raul Malo play at Gruene Hall.

I expected the mood on @arrowheadpride.bsky.social to be pretty glum today, but wasn't expecting a reference to Schrödinger's cat. Thought the analogy kinda worked though!

Re-upping this after Wolverine was featured by a high profile YouTube author last week.

TL;DR: We're committed to an "Open Core" model

A Quick Note About JasperFx’s Plans for Marten & Wolverine
So, yes, Wolverine overlaps quite a bit with both MediatR and MassTransit. If you’re a MediatR user, Wolverine just does a helluva lot more and we have an existing guide for converting from M…

Very thankful to get a chance to walk the Freedom Trail in Boston and see "Old Ironsides" later today with my son. I'll be differently thankful tomorrow when I get back to Austin and thaw out

From last night, Wolverine gets more useful with EF Core:

I was helping a new JasperFx Software client this week to best integrate a Domain Events strategy into their new Wolverine codebase. This client wanted to use the common model of using an EF Core D…

I do most of my professional interactions these days through Discord, Slack, or Zoom from my home office or wherever I happen to be. Told my son last night about the 9 months I spent commuting back and forth between Austin and Madison, WI every single week. I'm never going back.

I flew into Boston today to visit my son who's at Northeastern, and I'm waiting for him at a coffee shop close by that's all college age kids and me. Can't even begin to tell you how old I'm feeling right now!

My 2 cents that you didn't ask for: The hero images never make me like the article more, BUT can sometimes make me like the article less. Instead, for each blog post, you should try to draw a wolverine from memory in MS Paint.

Admittedly using some AI slop for a blog post today. It's very hard to create a prompt for "wolverine" that doesn't end up looking like Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.

I end up consuming quite a bit from NeverTrumpers like Tim Alberta or the @thebulwark.com. They desperately want Shapiro for President to happen, but never grapple much with how Shapiro could lead to a huge enthusiasm gap in on our side

Keeping in mind I grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere before the internet existed, it's crazy that I'm casually chatting with someone on the opposite side of the globe while in the air.

Way more surprised by being on a Southwest flight where I got my own row to myself though.

I'm old enough to remember what it was like to get tons of comment spam on a popular blog, and that was so much more varied from whatever the repetitive "I'll helps the first 10 people..." spam on Discord these days

My oldest finishes his college program in a couple weeks. That suddenly hit me in the feels. Flying out to Boston tomorrow to spend time with him right before he's done and nerd out on history things there

Wolverine's GitHub issue numbers are up to the James Garfield presidency. We blew through the US Civil War and Reconstruction awfully fast.

Unusually cold for Austin and drizzling. Going to go walk the dog and get used to the weather to get ready for my trip later this week to Boston to visit my son:)
