I'm sorry, what??? 😮 That is amazing.
brb gotta check the size of my hand luggage, for reasons.
With our event just days away, it's time to announce a special surprise!

We made an @aiandgames.com plushie!

Grab yours at the AI and Games Conference next week, or sign up to the waitlist (plushie.aiandgames.com) to be the first to know when we release a batch for sale online in early 2026.
Unfortunately, I think my current favourite for Ai and Games might required a bit too much pop culture knowledge to really land, but I'm sure I'll think of something.
I'm sure some people prep for events by looking at attendees lists and researching sessions. I personally prefer to dedicate my time to coming up with some truly awful topic specific jokes.
I figured I'd finally read The Fall of the House of Usher, but, not gonna lie, the first page of the collection has me immediately questioning the decision to read Poe. Or anything by the writer of the introduction for that matter.
Anyone feel like trekking around my run route from Saturday to see if they can find my gloves? I can't find them which means there's a 50% chance I dropped them.
I'd go but there's also a 50% chance they're just in a really dumb place in my house. So I have to stay here and search for a few hours.

Almost at the top. Currently number 3, which is a lucky number in Irish mythology. Launching at 1pm, folks. Wish us luck!
To be fair the whole train sequence is such a mind fuck that I kind of want to see it executed in a train inception puzzle game
I just found out that Glen Hansard played Outspan in The Commitments.
I ask that you respect my privacy in this trying time while I reassess my identity as a Dub.
I am proud to announce that today I successfully entered and exited a bookshop without buying any books!
I did buy stationery that I didn't need, and for some reason a jigsaw puzzle, but that's besides the point.

When's your deadline for the edits? (I feel like I should stop distracting you with responses. )
I can't imagine writing non-fiction. Even the idea of being fact checked on the writing is terrifying!

I'm just messing around at the moment, seeing how it goes. The longer it takes to write the better the eventual success story is eh?
It's a lot more literary than what I'm used to writing, and I've found myself floundering a bit without a solid plot to work with.
If there's one thing I'm skilled at it's over engineering every non-tech project!

It's all solo unfortunatley, I feel like having a bit of external pressure might make me finish it. I have the format, the concept, and lots of bits that aren't cohesively tied together yet.
I hear the editing is a nightmare once you finish it, so I'm holding off on that as long as possible ;)
But the file structure in my Scrivener project is glorious, so that's something.
I think this is the real reason most people never finish writing books in the first place... or at least it's the excuse I'm going to use now
... I just spent my lunch putting up shelves and recently "invested" in my 3rd Salomon hydration vest.
I'm not sure if I'm disturbed by the similarities or if we're just trailblazing the new crisis norms
this is exactly what I wanted to hear! I feel like I should be able to have a mid-life crisis at 34, be a bit of an over achiever. A quarter life crisis is for children!
On the minus side I think that means we both need to buy sports cars?
I hate this constant moving of goal posts. A while ago I saw middle age defined as starting at 35, but now I need to be at least 40 for a mid-life crisis? Sometimes I feel like I just can't win.
So the expansion doesn't expand to include any new devs or projects? Just post release content of the very few games that already qualify. I know it'll help some studios, but it doesn't do much
Look I'm happy there's an extension etc etc but, dare I say it, this is silly? Am I reading it wrong?
Expansion to post release content but only if the base game qualified for the original credit. There's currently low uptake because so few developers work qualifies for the original credit.
While I was excited to see improvements to the games tax credit teased in the pre-budget coverage, it's not enough to get me past the horror of being excited to see a budget announcement.
Gonna go stare into space and question my life choices for a few hours.

(aka 5 mins after waking up this morning a spider descended from my ceiling trying to land on my face. There's nothing that screams "get out of bed" to an arachnophobe quite like that. Relatedly I have not (yet) burned my house down. As a testament to my non-arachnid motivated self control)
