What a great read, combining well established disciplinary practice with current generic practice in schools- love this!
I miss being in a city for stuff like this. Fells and fields good. Not having opportunities like this on your doorstep… less good.

Obviously, it’s been a tough day for the BBC. Big organisations, working under big pressure, will sadly make errors
But I still feel huge pride in hosting a BBC podcast, and having previously spent 11 years making a world-renowned children’s show that no other broadcaster would have made

This book looks terrific and the fact it’s open access is amazing! One of the strongest misconceptions children bring to the history classroom is that ‘women were just at home.’ Can’t wait to read this! 👏👏👏

Just to say that teachers do an incredibly difficult job, with all the right intentions, and can be the defining influence on a young person's life. They are the exact opposite of poisoners because good teaching provides the antidote to so many dangers

Right wing media has had it in for Angela Rayner from the start - they couldn’t bear a working class woman being so powerful & dynamic. She made a mistake and has paid heavily for it. Very much hope she’ll return at some point in the future - our politics desperately needs more voices like hers

The problem with this survey is that it misses the point of whether @ofstednews.bsky.social can grade these areas reliably. If not then it's a moot point that parents like it. OCR Elizabethans… help a department out! Always thought it was well established that colonists vanished / different theories / etc. Textbook calmly states they were all rescued by Francis Drake?! @hughrichards.bsky.social do you teach this? Anyone else shed any light?? #historyteacher
