My latest for @msnbc.com: The Trump administration's gutting the special education personnel not only betrays people with disabilities; it rolls back the work of four Republican presidents who passed bills for special education (Nixon, Ford, and the Bushes)

Opinion | Trump's mass firings strike a hammer blow against Americans with disabilities
The GOP once supported special education programs. Recent dismissals at the Education Department put an end to that support.

A library director in Wyoming who was fired two years ago because she refused to remove books with sexual content and LGBTQ themes from a library's children and young adult sections has just been awarded $700,000 in a settlement. t.co/EA5L1kOZfV

The Nazis used the concept of "plenary power"—or complete, absolute authority—to legally dismantle Germany's democracy and establish a dictatorship. The Enabling Act of 1933 was the key piece of legislation that granted these powers to Adolf Hitler and his cabinet.

What in the ungodly f*ck is this sh*t? Let's glamorize slavery and r@pe. I hope this author steps on every Lego block in Texas... while having frequent bouts of diarrhea.
Book description:
From the first time Leon Falcon sets his eyes on Penny, he wants her.

Usually, a gentleman of his stature would woo a woman, court her and get her father’s blessing. But Falcon doesn’t have to do any of that with Penny because it’s 1864 South Carolina, she’s a slave, and she can’t say no to him or any white man.

Falcon’s plan is simple: first, he’s going to buy her. He’s going to teach her. And then he’s going to take her. But it isn’t long before he realizes he’s the student once Penny opens his heart to a love so powerful, it transcends every force that dares to tear them apart.
I only made six Halloween cards this year.
Two horizontal Halloween cards.
1. A yellowish orange card. It has black paper with white spider webs and fancy edges. In the center is a cartoon spider with a smile with two little teeth poking out of the bottom. The spider is black with a yellow outline. There are green, raised circles between the webs.
2. A purple card with fancy green scrollwork borders on the right and left sides. In the center is a white ghost with a black outline and a long form. It has green eyes and a shocked look on its face. The bottom of the ghost has the word "scary" in loopy, green print on a black background.
One of my favorite poets of all time.
