These privileged assholes have no idea how hard poor people work
They definitely will not, they’re not giving up power until they have absolutely no other choice and that’s the prime thing we need to reckon with right now & everyone is kicking the can down the road on having that discussion
It’s great that he’s unpopular! I like to think public perception can change things! It is just very very hard when we can see this will be a monumental lift and the only proactive thing we have to look forward to is elections after they’ve had 1 more year to destroy everything
When all the institutions are lining up to kiss his ass and enable him it doesn’t matter, everyone’s fixated on getting under the administration’s skin but I don’t know how we topple the government, the media, and the corporations in one fell swoop
I think this is all true but I wish I had a better sense of end game around all this stuff or the idea that there were smarter people than me who are building a real counter-strategy. I can call Adam Schiff 5x a day to complain and motherfucker ain’t listening
Legendarily a night of spooks and scares
You should listen to Air (French band)
None of them are anyone’s friends! I’d like to go back to an era where the starting assumption was they’re all crooks until proven otherwise. Afraid that boat has sailed though, we all just want a representative with sweet zings
How many Dems have publicly called for removal from office? What is their red line?
can't believe I used to think Rob Schneider was one of the intellectual greats
I think it's best to not run guys with Nazi tattoos but it also seems like the government will maybe never reopen so probably not the most pressing fight to be having right now
psst we're not going to last until 28 dude
"Are there any ICE agents who are good?" is such a Fox question, like who is that gotcha even intended for
I appreciate that he said not all of us are lowlifes. At first I thought, wow, that's really mean, but no, he was just talking about most of those other people
I bet an audiobook is a really easy thing to turn down, too
I don't know why people are so concerned about the price of these renovations, it's not like he's going to pay the contractors
Trump raises the price of the ballroom to $350 million

(It changed from $200 million, then $300 million, now $350 million within the course of a few days)
Or: Mike Johnson is up there giving a press conference every fucking day while Dems complain that republicans aren't talking to them, how 'bout the whole house shows up to his press conference? Where's the fucking creativity? Go where the cameras are!
you seem to have a very inflated sense of what a random Bluesky thread about Democratic messaging tactics can accomplish
Fwiw, I appreciate the polite discussion and your responses. Nice to be reminded that we can agree on the larger message while debating tactics, especially on social media.
Who cares if it's "impractical"? Say the words and see what happens!
Leaders lead. This is the exact problem; we spend all our time trying to understand where the public's at and adjusting down instead of taking a stance that people would be eager to follow.
I predict the first politician to go hard on removal is going to see their profile skyrocket; it's the only possible answer to what we're facing and it's gobsmacking that our politicians think 3 more years of this will end in a polite transfer of power, get the fuck ahead of something for once
Let them eat balls
I think the ballroom story is gonna mushroom into a much much much much bigger thing. I see the visceral reaction people have towards the videos.
Oh agreed, they’re amazing at bad strategy
