Last weekend, we tried to hike up to Rock Cut to see the white tailed ptarmigan (these pictures are from almost exactly a year ago), but the constant 40mph headwinds turned us around.

The Beaver Mountain Loop is a nice overlooked trail
You had me worried--i looked up Siberian Squill and found it was also called Spring Beauty. Luckily it's a different Spring Beauty than the one I look forward to every year
Bobcat Ridge is only 15 minutes from our house but it has some beautiful hikes. This is on the Ginny/Powerline Trail loop
We hiked the Fern Lake Trail from the Bear Lake trailhead. We didn't quite get to Lake Helene and lost the trail to the snow and wind
