Hi and welcome to my page!

I’m Jéantil Beltré, an accountant/bookkeeper who helps creators take control of their money. I talk about:

💵Turning irregular income into real profits
📊 Smart business structures (i.e. LLCs and S-Corps)
🧾 Demystifying taxes & deduction
📈 Systems to scale your business
RECAP

To quickly save on taxes, you can:

1) Save for retirement
2) Prepay expenses
3) Consider your business entity

This may seem complex, but taking these steps puts you in more control of your taxes

Feeling overwhelmed? You're not alone. My DMs are open if you have any specific questions!
The Entity Question

If you're a sole proprietor hitting >$60k net profit, it might be time to consider becoming an S-Corp for next year.

An S-Corp can save on self-employment taxes.

This is a complex decision with several pros/cons, so it should probably be a Q4 consideration, not a Q4 action.
Purchase Next Year's Expenses Today

Make necessary purchases in advance. Need new gear for next year? Buy it now to deduct it now to lower your taxable income

Most creators will prepay predictable and necessary expenses like Software Subscriptions and Office Equipment/Supplies.
Maximize Your Retirement Savings (The Power Move)

A Solo 401(k) or SEP IRA lets you contribute a significant portion of your net profit.

Example: On $80k profit, you could shelter ~$16k+ directly from taxes.

You have until your tax filing deadline next year to set up and contribute for this year.
The Foundation - Know Your Numbers

You can't manage what you don't know!

1. Tally your Net Profit (Income - Expenses) for the year
2. Estimate your tax bill using a tax calculator (I prefer KeeperTax's)

Now you have your starting point!
The final quarter of the year is approaching. If you've made a decent profit as a creator, I'm sure next year's tax burden is in the back of your mind.

If you want to slash that upcoming tax bill, you still have time. Here are some steps to save THOUSANDS before the year ends: (Thread 🧵)

If you’re a small business owner entering 2025 without a bookkeeping/accounting solution due to Bench unexpectedly shutting down today, please feel free to reach out to get an experienced bookkeeper for your business!

We currently only have the resources for 5 new clients, so act now!
Don’t even bother with them. A look at their post history and you’ll see they just want to rile you up. Not worth your time or your energy.
I think the ducky helps illustrate she cares about the water and the wildlife it supports!
Since we’re already full swing into the holiday season, I hope artists everywhere are able to take a well deserved break with friends and family.

Burnout is such a common occurrence with the artists I work with so please make sure to give yourself a break if you can.

For my self-employed artists out there, make sure to take advantage of the home office deduction before the end of the year.

You’ll be able to write off a portion of your rent/mortgage and utilities you’ve already paid throughout the year!

This also applies to S and C-Corps as well. As a bookkeeper who’s specialized to work with artists, idk how many times I’ve had to remind clients about filing this report 😅
Just a reminder to my business owners out there:

If you run an LLC or corporation (S or C type), you need to file your BOI report before the end of the year.

If you don’t, you could be fined $500/day, up to $10k and potentially serve jail time.

So if you’re reading, please get it done now.
Congrats on another successful crowdfunding!
Especially those tax forms! I’m a bookkeeper and even I need the constant reminder for myself lol 😆
I love the contrasting colors here! It makes the sunlight feel almost magical ✨
That would be awesome! Your prints in your store look great btw! Especially your October one!
Never understood putting hands on another person. Just…why?
First post on here! I followed several artists I like from IG and can’t wait to discover more talented artists on this app!

Please let me know if you have any recommendations on accounts I should check out!
Just checked out the video and it looks great 🙌🏽! I also loved Blue Bottle when I lived Boston! Do you go to conventions to sell your art?
