Only 30% of Americans fly at least once a year. Only 20% of Americans fly 3 or more times. Willing to bet *most* of that is voluntary/entertainment travel. It's like the least important thing impacted by the shutdown.

having to limit plane travel is actually such a big deal? Clearly it's mostly recreation/entertainment, and that is clearly engaged in by an extreme minority of the population.

Only 1/3rd of Americans fly at least once a year. Only 20% of Americans fly 3 or more times a year. Basically ally business travel could be conducted via remote meetings over the internet & digital document handling. I have a hard time understanding why, other than shipping and emergency travel

@peters.senate.gov Gary is spineless and not running again, of course he'll cave. @slotkin.senate.gov has shifted a lot farther right than when she originally ran, I'd expect her to cave too. Even though holiday plane travel only impacts 1/3 of Americans recreation vs life saving health insurance

It's not really surprising sasquatch is in the new dhs/white house ai slop video. Per @moviehooligan.bsky.social squat watch facts, bigfoot is always kidnapping ladies to be broodmares/tradwives, so they should fit right into the current admin.

Maybe because it's still so often and subtly considered 'women's work' but this has been the tacit expectation of everyone working in public k12 education as long as I can remember.

I just think it's weird to simultaneously be like, 'we can't feed you' but also be offloading a ton of mres through a retail chain (not a thing I thought was even done, even through overstock stores). Because I'd totally see the gov saying, 'your whole family eats mres) now.

Everything you posted related to food my partner does on a regular basis. Which is why I am solely in charge of groceries and cooking (save for like, snacks and such).

Therexs a couple of parka near us where we've encountered this, it *is* super depressing. I get sometimes here trees get diseased and they have to cut them down to keep them from spreading. But like, maybe grind that stump and then plant a new one?
