'Umar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb said: "Behave humbly with those who taught you and those who you teach."

[الآداب الشرعية ٢٢٤/١]
"أتغلبك الدنيا وأنت الذي تحمل الآيات في صدرك؟!"

"Are you allowing the world to overcome you while you carry the Ayāt (of Qur'ān) within your heart?!"
Ḥasan al-Baṣrī رحمه الله said: 

"The leader of the body is the tongue.

When the tongue commits a crime, the limbs commit it.

When the tongue abstains, the limbs abstain (from sin)."

مَنْ عَرَّضَ نَفْسَهُ لِلتُّهْمَةِ فَلَا يَلُومَنَّ مَنْ أَسَاءَ بِهِ الظَّنَّ،

"Whoever exposes himself to accusations, then do not blame the one who has evil thoughts"

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رضي الله عنها أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ

عَلَيْكِ بِالرِّفْقِ وَإِيَّاكِ وَالْعُنْفَ وَالْفُحْشَ

'Āishah رضي الله عنها reported: RasūlAllāh ﷺ, said:

“You must be gentle, and beware of harshness and obscenity.”

📚 Saḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6030
‎ قال قتادة رحمه الله :

‎إن الله سائـل كـل عبـد ،

‎عما استودعه من نعمته وحقه".

Qatada رحمه الله said: "Verily Allāh ﷻ will ask every servant about what He entrusted him with of his blessings and his rights."

‌‏عن محمد بن سيرين رحمه الله أنه قال :

‌‏إنَّ أكثر الناس خطايا.

‌‏أكثرهم ذكرًا لخطايا الناس.

Muḥammad Ibn Sirin said: ❝Verily those with the most sins are those who mention the sins of the peoples.❞

Imam Ahmed رحمه الله said:

ختمت ‌القرآن في يومٍ؛
‏فعددت موضع الصبر؛ فإذا هو نيفٌ وتسعون

“I finished the Qur’an in one day, so I counted the places of Sabr; and there were over 90.”

Oh Allāh you are Oft-Pardoning and You love to pardon so pardon me
Ibn al-Jawzī رحمه الله said:

“By Allah, if it was said to the dead in their graves,

‘Wish for something.’

They would wish to witness one more day of Ramadan.”

“Knowledge is that which is established upon evidence.”

Al-Ḥasan Al-Baṣri (رحمه الله) said:

“ألا إن شهركم قد أخذ في النقص، فزيدوا أنتم في العمل.”

"Verily, your month is decreasing,
so increase your good deeds."

[Laṭā’if Al-Ma‘ārif: 1/184]
The Prophet ﷺ said:

"Fasting will intercede for the slave on the Day of Judgment."

[صحيح الترغيب ٩٨٠]
The Prophet ﷺ said:

"Every servant of Allāh who observes fast for a day in the way of Allāh, Allāh would remove, because of this day, his face farther from the Fire (of Hell) to the extent of seventy years' distance.”

[صحيح مسلم ١١٥٣]
'Abdullāh Ibn Mas'ūd رضي الله عنه said:

“Do not scatter the Qur'ān as if it were dates falling from a tree, nor recite quickly as if it were poetry. Stop at its verses that amaze you and let it move your hearts. Let not your concern be reaching the end of the Surah.”

‏يقول ابن الجوزي رحمه الله: تالله لو قيل لأهل القبور تمنوا، لتمنوا يومًا من رمضان.

Ibn Al Jawzi رحمه الله said:
By Allāh, if it were said to the people of the graves to make a wish, they would wish for one day of Ramadhān.

Al-Shatibi رحمه الله:

“It is an objective of Salah to escape from the intrigues of Dunya.”

Ibn Taymiyyah, رحمه الله, said:

“There is nothing of more benefit to the heart than Tawhīd and Ikhlās”

عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

يُبْعَثُ كُلُّ عَبْدٍ عَلَى مَا مَاتَ عَلَيْهِ

Jabir رضي الله عنه reported: RasūlAllāh ﷺ said,

“Every servant will be resurrected upon the way that they died.”

(Saḥīḥ Muslim 2878)
Ibn Rajab رحمه الله said,

“By fasting in Sha'ban prior to Ramadhān, one will find the sweetness and pleasure of the fast, so that he will enter into the fast of Ramadhān with vigor and determination.”

Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli حفظه الله
Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله once wrote:

I have never seen anything which nourishes the intellect and soul, preserves the body, and ensures happiness more than consistently reading from Allāh's Book.

'Abdullāh bin 'Umar رضي الله عنهما said:

"Every Bid'ah (innovation) is misguidance, even if the people think it is good."

[Sharh Usul Itiqad Ahlus Sunnah, 1/111]
Why Bid'ah is worse than Sins

إنَّ الْبِدْعَةَ أَحَبُّ إلَى إبْلِيسَ مِنْ الْمَعْصِيَةِ لِأَنَّ الْبِدْعَةَ لَا يُتَابُ مِنْهَا وَالْمَعْصِيَةُ يُتَابُ مِنْهَا

Verily, Innovation is more beloved to Iblīs than sins, because Innovation you don't repent from and sins you repent from.

Hold Fast To The Rope Of Allāh

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

كتاب الله هو حبل الله الممدود من السماء إلى الأرض

“The Book of Allāh (i.e Qurʾān) is the Rope of Allāh extended from the heaven towards earth.”
