Our latest video is out, all about medieval pirates, but here's a view from the back of the mighty Talos the other day. Sometimes I feel like I'm riding a musk ox or some mythical fantasy beast covered in long hair. He has to have one of the heaviest and densest manes of any horse I've ever known.

I'm half expecting mounted raiders on a chevauchee to appear soon, so am preparing my defences. In good news the Medlars are well rotten and I'll make something from those soon.

It feels a bit like the start of a medieval apocalypse tale; a big storm passed and flooded the land. The river is about to burst its banks. Rats got into my feedstore and spoiled much of the horse's hard feed. Hay is going faster than expected, and I'll need to buy more. Everything is damp.

The latest MHTV podcast is all about money (coins and the systems used in their absence during the Middle Ages). Lots of interesting systems were used. Much more complex and advanced than one might have thought. Very good interview!
