Father of 3. Son of 5. Live so as to fulfill the dreams of your ancestors and inspire those of your descendants. Oh to be a stone of the earth, wind in the mountains, river and forest kind of magic. Solid, ancient, and bone deep. I'm not for everyone.
Pinned
Extreme significance.

Here's the thing.
Texted him: I miss you.
Texted me back: Stop it, Boy. Now. It means you aren't living.
Me: Sir.
Him: You are in an amazing place. You awoke there. Showed me the view from your hotel balcony. WTF Boy?
Me: I love you.
Him: I love you. Stop missing. Build memories.
Me: Sleep well.

Chatting with Him back home.
Late for him.
Here, I'm just getting up.
Don't let anyone tell you that traveling on business is glamorous.
It fucking sucks.
He's been posting a lot for a bit.
I love reading them.
I need the touch of the typist.
He's taking a shower before bed now.
I envy the water.

I hate baths.
Soaking in your own dirt.
Oh fucking yay.
This hotel is otherwise pretty good.
But 1950 wants their facilities back.

American visitor standing with us at the base of the CN Tower where we had dinner rezzies: it’s not so high.
In the elevator: Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!
Doing Edgewalk: Chickened out

For a politician, there are only two constants.
SAY whatever it takes to gain power.
DO whatever it takes to keep it.
A leader will enter politics as an act of service only when the threat to those they love and values they hold overcomes their repulsion at being surrounded by politicians.

I am the product of planned parenthood. The resolve of gay uncles to step up for their nephew after the loss of his mother and crippling of his father in an accident and raise him to success. So know that you will be met with full force if you dare identify manhood as a heteronormative property.

Norman would have liked this one. But he’s dead. Just like this truth making any difference in Murkastan.
Whether or not racial bias is involved, I think it’s wrong for elected officials in power to redraw electoral maps for the purpose of subverting the will of their voters.

Straight kids have real life role models to emulate everywhere they look, showing them how to be.
Who do we have? Mostly, no one. If we are very lucky, as I was, proud gay family. Exception. So we, driven by primal need, seek out abstractions in film, books. Mute mentors. Cry and grow. Alone.

Every night I tend to his Gold Wing.
Even when I don't take it out to roar or pup.
Like tonight. Wickedly cold. Slippery dangerous.
And hear His words of power, confidence.
Being gay is hard. Not because of itself. But because of what we must endure. We fly or die in that.
He taught me to fly.

Every now and then, like just now, I'll get a DM like this:
Him: Shaving it all off is unnatural. Real men let it grow.
Me: I look forward to pictures of your ZZ Top beard and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi coif.

Been saying this since I first had to wear one. Wrestling singlets are the stupidest, most uncomfortable and maladapted garment ever mandated. They were designed for the oglers, not the wrestlers. The Greeks did it correctly.
