I think he tagged up, but saw the ball come out and then started running, but saw it get caught again and ran back to tag up again. He could've left as soon as the ball hit the glove the first time (had it even actually been caught the 2nd time and not hit the wall in between).

Watching Daulton Varsho playing centerfield so well, it's hard to process that he's also an outstanding catcher.
