“Chk!” She rolled her eyes and groaned. Pride is not something to be celebrated. Certainly, my companions have gone mad. She stood up, stretched, and walked back into the cottage. She paused while shutting the purple wooden door behind her with a soft click. Why would Shadowheart really want to go to such a ridiculous festival? She shrugged. It would probably be disadvantageous for her.
Lae’zel thought for a moment and tapped her cheek with her forefinger. Yes, Pride is a weakness. It would only cause us to become weak. Memories of her training on K’liir came to mind. The arrogant ones died quicker.
She tossed the invitation into the trash and headed out the back door
