One thing that made The Monkees unique in their day was how they (Mike Nesmith in particular) mixed country with psychedelia, and this mesmerizing 2018 video for “The Christmas Song” demonstrates this beautifully. Produced, directed, and animated by Mike’s son Jonathan Nesmith and Susan Holloway.
