Brexit is still reshaping life in ways few imagined. Even efforts to save the Scottish wildcat are now struggling for funding after losing access to vital EU support.
20/10/25. 27/13. Presumed migrants Rusty-dot Pearl (Udea ferrugalis) & Diamond-back Moth (Plutella xylostella) of interest. Feathered Thorn, 4 Large Wainscot, 2 Brindled Green, 3 Nov Moth agg, 4 Yellow-line & 2 Red-line Quaker Beaded Chestnut and a Grey Pine Carpet.
Orphion obscuratus (Google it) - Quote; 'Any "sting" is a misunderstanding of its ovipositor, which is an egg-laying tool that is not a stinger'. The one that just jabbed me in the finger whilst being rescued from the moth trap obviously hadn't read the script! 😡 #teammoth #norfolkmoths
