As an illustrator, animators have my utmost respect. I finished keyframes for an animation and am still in the loop for a project. Animators are chill about revisions which can be many. I get a note that requires an extra hour of work and you would think I was asked to solve cold fusion.

Gave a talk at the Society Of Illustrators along with Caldecott winners and lemme tell you something. They know what to do with a pencil.

Learned a Buddhist concept while researching that has chilled me out about disinformation. You can learn to see with clear eyes but what others choose to see is on them, not you.

Received a lovely note from a reader this weekend who said they saw A Boy Named Isamu at the The Noguchi Museum and it brought her to tears. The money is nice but this is the real reward of doing children's books.
