It boggles my mind that you've taken up this role David (been following your writing since you used to write on videogames), that because our journalism institutions have failed us so badly, people like yourself are stepping up to the role with a mentality of 'I guess I'll do the journalism myself'.
I think that might be Swery in a nutshell these days. It's lame to see this bitterness in something I would've been looking forward to so much 10 years ago. I mean, it's the fabled Swery Suda51 hotel game, saddening :(
Totally agree, it's like combining Triumph of the Will with freaking WWE shit.
I bought a pre-built PC with a 4080rtx and a pretty good CPU in 2023, AND I got it for like 40% cheaper than building it myself after finding a good deal on OZBargain. It's been amazing for playing games in 4k 120fps, and it doesn't make weird noises like my last PC I built, can't go back now.
One of the problems though is there's also quite a large audience that feels the latter. The amount of times I've played a game made before 2012 on Steam and my boyfriend has been like "but you own all these better looking new games, why play something that looks so ugly?".
The most hilarious and endearing thing about this is that it genuinely looks like it's got some Bubsy 3D DNA in the vibes and look of the level design. Looks real good.
Very sorry to hear that, can't imagine the ongoing level of anxiety and frustration this whole ongoing shit has caused for everyone involved, and then to top it all off they're being typical cowards about it.
Turns out the evil resident was Technical Difficulties
People asking what this has to do with Google didn't read the article.
Why the fuck do we still give a shit about Google's search algorithms? I've generally stopped using Google to find things because of how shit it is with sponsored, unrelated, or milktoast/sanitised results.
I don't think she is which says to me it's probably Never been about protecting vulnerable people but rather always about power and of course the Z word and the power that brings a small number of people
Geeze, I think this reflects 2 things: Just how many games there are being released and how gutted the games journalism and media industry is that stuff like this just goes by without any major outlets talking about it. Really appreciate curators like yourself showing these things.
As an Australian viewing this from the outside, the violence I'm seeing is the LAPD acting almost identical to gang cartel violence you see from other countries; shooting at unarmed journalists and trampling unarmed civilians with horses, whacking them with sticks. What a police state.
I've only played the first few hours of the original PSX version. I'm selfishly hoping someone makes a mod that lets you use the original pixel art with the new fully voiced version
It's this shit Again for crying out loud:
My gosh, I've heard Ted O'Brian is not a very intelligent man before but that was painful to watch #abc730
Love that shuffle walk like he's shat himself. Stride into battle indeed.
I was so tired of doing this to myself that I did something any same person would do. For the last 7 years, I've been playing my List of every game I own on Steam with 0 time played. Ordered by release date, I play each one for at least 10 minutes. If I'm not feeling it I move on or I finish it.
No feeling compares to the feeling of organising a collection of books/games/DVDs/music/movies/ or PC files and then not engaging with them.
Considering biologically we all begin as the same thing, I don't see how anyone can argue it's not natural to be even a little same sex attracted from time to time.
I was wondering if I'd bother going out with my partner to see it, but I think based on some feedback from a number of people including you I'll probably just check it out in VOD when it's out.
