Now that Trump has doubled his bailout for Argentina to 40 BILLION, every single
American is paying over $100 in taxes to save a FOREIGN president from the economy he created.
Have two kids and a spouse?
Trump cost your family $400 to bail out
Argentina.
Four. HUNDRED. DOLLARS. PER.
FAMILY.

AOC: And they are able to radicalize a generation of young boys in particular, away from healthy masculinity and into an insecure masculinity that requires the domination of others who are poorer, browner, darker, or a different gender than them.

My advice... stay excited, but fight to win, beat Maga. During the Second World War we even allied with Stalin, because we had to beat the Nazis. Take a good hard look at the current threat and vote accordingly.
jamesbarfoot.bsky.social
If it is really an NDP versus Maga race in some riding, then sure, it makes sense to vote NDP. However, the NDP misrepresented their chances in many ridings during the federal election, even Charlie Angus, whom I like, fibbed about some ridings in BC, resulting in unnecessary Maga victories.

That 8% NDP vote resulted in 2 seats for the NDP and 21 seats (a majority) for the Conservatives. Not the end of the world in Newfoundland, but under the current populist threat, such a national vote could be the end of Canadian democracy. Play party games some other time.

Legally enforceable. Clearly an immediate clarification from Stellantis, or send this to court. When Stellantis says they have undefined 'plans', they are stalling. They know the volatility of shifting Jeep production. $55 M of taxpayer money given.

⚠️Under 🇨🇦 #CSIF and the 🇨🇦 #NEA, #Stellantis accepted over $15 billion in public funding💰 to create and secure jobs🇨🇦 through 2027 & beyond.

🚨Those contracts📜 are legally enforceable⚖️, with clear terms requiring #Canadian operations workforce protection.

What to know as Stellantis moves some auto jobs to the U.S. from Canada | Globalnews.ca
Thousands of Canadian automotive jobs could be impacted as Stellantis plans to move some production from Ontario to the United States.

Trump can simply give $40 billion in US tax money to his pals in Argentina, openly admit it is for the intended purpose of keeping the MAGA allied right wing government in power, and pocket billions for himself. The US has no laws anymore and that's your money they are stealing.

BREAKING:
Pam Bondi said the Epstein files are on her desk and she'll be releasing them tomorrow!

Wait, sorry, she said that 8 months ago.
I think maybe she was lying.

What do I know and I'm not saying it's a magic bullet or anything like that but it sure seems to me that Dems should run hard on the Argentina bailout. Not anywhere near the worst thing Trump has done, but i suspect it's unusually clarifying.

Jeffries: "It's perplexing to us that Rs refuse to spend a dime to protect the healthcare of the American people, but somehow the Trump admin found $40b to bail out a right-wing wannabe dictator in Argentina in ways that are also going to continue to hurt our soybean farmers in Iowa & the Midwest"

How about "rolling out" better healthcare, education and housing?

The materials are now available for Canada's brand-new housing design catalogue! We've gone "back to the future" — inspired by Canada's post-war housing construction in the 1940s & 70s.

Designs include accessory dwelling units, rowhouses and townhouses, four and six-plexes, all ready to build.
jamesbarfoot.bsky.social
After years of screaming that "we need inexpensive housing", the usual suspects are now complaining, because the designs are not big and expensive. Do society a favour and go back to sleep.
jamesbarfoot.bsky.social
I think these designs are better than the old wartime houses. I lived in one in Edmonton and the slope of the roof intruded on the upper floor. In these designs the ceilings are full height, so more usable space.
jamesbarfoot.bsky.social
Pre-approved designs that can be built faster and cheaper, but still provide safe, comfortable accommodation. The BC designs appear to be intended for smaller lots, a practical choice, considering the cost of land in greater Vancouver and Victoria.
