Lessons for story writers: Don't create good set ups and then randomly ruin them

At most, I could allow for the Keep AND surrounding areas to be burned to ensure Cersie is gone

But this is just stupid..

ALL Daenerys had to do was burn the keep, ultimately killing Cersie and those around the keep

And then argue her case

"She put them in danger, she was the danger, I had to do this"

You still get the moral arguments GOT is known for

She zig zags around burning everything BUT the keep
Which eventually allows Cersie to escape..

This is utterly nonsensical
They created the set up, it was good, and then do this?

This scene makes no sense to me

Because it was so close to being perfect

The premise : Daenerys wants to kill Cersie

Cersie has basically created a human shield so if Daenerys kills her then she's turned against

So what does Daenerys do...
