Magic Room—Aventurine and Ratio find themselves trapped in a shrinking room inside the Dreamscape, an inscrutable riddle about baring their souls their only clue for escape.

Aventurine turns to Ratio, tossing the paper aside. It floats to the ground. “Oh?”

“When I first arrived and investigated the room myself, it was several inches larger.”

A smirk pulls across Aventurine’s face. “That’s what all the boys tell me.”

Ratio’s expression turns severe. “The room, gambler. It’s getting smaller.”

Smirk fades to frown, and Aventurine studies the nearest baseboard, and as he watches, the baseboard consumes increasingly more of the floor, visibly moving across the carpet. He takes an alarmed step backwards.

“I estimate that it’s closing in at about six inches per minute, giving us perhaps an hour’s worth of time before the walls close in entirely,” Ratio says.
