In the article the guy claims "they [cops] started leaving in big numbers after Adams won" despite the fact Adams was a cop who they claimed won as an indictment of "defund the police" rhetoric. So if Adams wasnt cop enough for these losers I dunno who would be.

If I am doing OK now but will be very rich in a 20 year future of continued stock growth, I am living in, and anxious about, that future, not my current reality.

The thesis I prefer is that everyone in the US and maybe the world lives in the future projection of the economy. If I have a high paying job and lots of debt, my net worth depends on me having that income into the future. So, thats where I live. In projections, not reality.
