Panya means ‘mouse’ in Swahili. It’s also the name of our newest grandbaby! Hours after giving birth, ex-orphan Panda returned home to introduce her daughter to the people who raised her. In fact, it was a real family reunion: We had 54 orphans, ex-orphans, and wild-born babies in attendance.

To the little shit that just lit a firework on our street and sped off on a fatbike: every dog on our street hates you and will make your afterlife a misery.

And it’s not as if I can just pop into the bookshop this week and ask the owner as he’s a tad temperamental and the sign on the door reads “Mostly closed”.

Argh. Heard something classical in a bookshop and now I can’t identify it. And my humming skills must be subpar because Shazam et al have no idea what it could be.

The advantage of going to dinner at 5 pm - because the 7 pm slot of all my favourite restaurants is taken by the out of townies - is that you can vegetate in cosy clothes at home in front of telly after a constitutional.

Pizza and pastiera, if you must know.

Wang, who goes by the stage name Zi the Mentalist, recently posted an X-ray on Facebook showing the chip lodged between his thumb and index finger, along with an admission that he has absolutely no idea how to access it anymore. “I’m living my own cyberpunk dystopia life right now,” he wrote

My widowed grandmother arrived in the UK with her two sons (Irish with a UK passport and two sons who spoke French, Italian and Arabic). She worked in a shirt factory. Both my dad and uncle became successful CEOs. In fact, my uncle is still happily working at 82.
This is so disgusting.

There is a certain slant of light
Winter afternoons
That oppresses like
The heft of cathedral tunes
Heavenly hurt it gives us
We can find no scar
Which lines of poetry live rent-free in your head?

The only time Article 5 of the NATO Treaty was invoked was to defend us, not for us to defend Europe. European soldiers and civilians died fighting with us and working next to us in Afghanistan. Europe was not attacked on September 11, 2001.

Great. In a household of dual nationalities, my significant other now has to worry about that too. It would be nice if the U S of A could just become normal again.
