As a lifelong fan of the @wnba.com I’m stoked to see teams get added in Detroit, Philly, & Cleveland. But as a queer southerner, I wish expansion was happening here too! More LGBTQ+ people live in the South than any other U. S. region. HUGE fan base, but regressive politics keep teams/players away.

At @puddingviz.bsky.social we get a lot of questions about what tools we use. There’s initial excitement, but when we answer w/ something like “ it’s coded from scratch,” you can feel the creative spark dim. So, I made tutorials recreating our charts without code. Now you can make them too!

This is the first year in 12 years that a woman (Lainey Wilson) was named the #CMAawards entertainer of the year. Since 1967, only 16% of the winners have been women. Kinda hard for women to win when country radio avoids playing them back-to-back. pudding.cool/2023/05/coun...
