“Stasis” is a portrait painted by the artist Zara Alfonso, and is the first piece in her series about invisible illness. A portrait painting of a girl with skin so pale she’s almost translucent, her lips are tinged blue and she gazes upward through seemingly unseeing eyes. Pale moths and winged insects cover the expanse of her face and body, blending into her skin in places.

an illustration featuring two original characters Rafe and Zacharius (who belongs to @lesoldatmort ) set into the world of Thedas (Dragon Age), inspired by Emerald Graves map and the Temple of Mythal. The whole piece is a view from inside of some overgrown ruins, through a huge door in the shape of pointed arch. In the centre of it there are the characters talking about something. Rafe, an adventurer type, is standing on a rock looking down at Zach standing on the ground (like a normal person) while probably describing something wild to him. Zach is most probably offering some of his own input, but he's definitely not as excited about it as Rafe. Amused more like. Around them there are broken statues, lots of rocks, fern, plants, behind them there's a view of even more ruins and forest in the background.

The bois are sitting in the lower left corner of the piece, Zach, who is dry, is casting a barrier around them to hold the water off. Rafe, completely drenched is trying to squeeze more water out of his hair. They're looking at each other playfully. The dialogue between them would go something like this: 'You know... I could have cast that. Mom taught me a barrier like this one.' 'Sure, you could, but you were too busy climbing up that pillar over there. If you catch cold, suits you just right.' 'Yeah, yeah... Whatever. But next time I'll be the one to cast it.' The ruins are overgrown and water is pooling around them. Everything is surrounded by a rather thick fog.
