It’s fantastic. It slowly builds itself up to something epic. I definitely am enjoying it more being able to jump to the next book as soon as I finish one. I hope you enjoy it!

Kingdoms of death is so sick. I’m enjoying this so much. Every Sunday Eater book tops the last for me and about 60% into this it seems it’ll do it again. Here’s to hoping the later instalments continue this upward momentum!

Catching up on some WWE Crown Jewel in Perth. Cena v Styles match was absolutely fantastic. THE greatest hits match up between two of the most iconic wrestlers of my youth. Reminds me of borrowing WWE PPV videos from the kid next door and watching TNA at my nans

This is definitely weird but the concept is pretty cool. The setting is making me think of Israel/ Palestine 2 state solution but in an alternate history (potentially future)? With added Sci fi?

Me too! I imagine this is really rewarding on a re-read when you already “get it”

The City and the City by China Miéville. Very interesting premise on this one. Only 40 pages in and I’m intrigued. My first Mieville, I also have Perdido Street Station to read before the end of the year 💙📚🪐

Replaying Borderlands and remembering playing it round a friends house the first time round. It’s bringing back some really wholesome memories

I think the artwork lulled me into thinking this was YA…. Okay this is NOT YA

Picked up Neon Ghosts on Friday evening, doing the physical/ audio at the same time. The world building felt a bit exposition heavy at first. You can tell Greene was having fun creating this world and I’m not sure all of it needed to be included. Now the plots rolling I’m enjoying it a bit more 💙📚🪐

Warming up for King Sorrow by reading 20th Century Ghosts. I really enjoy horror leaning short stories.

I wonder if there was a rival faction called the men of bootus

I just found out that there was a Roman faction called the men of mammers which meant men of mars. I cant help but notice the similarity to mammary which ofc means breasts so basically this Roman faction were called the men of breasts which is pretty cool as far as Roman faction names go

I heard someone once say that a man gets to a certain age and he picks WW2 or Ancient Rome and I seem to have picked Ancient Rome

Had a blast at NFL London yesterday with my lovely wife. Jags well beaten and over early as a contest but it was great to see so many other NFL fans in the UK. This is the first time I’ve been in a few years and I’m hoping it won’t be that long before I go again. Hoping for a Chiefs game next time 🏈

it is more important to read books you actually enjoy reading than books that are Literature
Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat

Gutted I’m missing so many Chiefs games this season because of the kick off times (1 am ko) but I am enjoying these highlights! I’m at NFL London next week, hoping to catch Chiefs V Raiders in a pub after

Popped on The Book that broke her heart by Mark Lawrence. I am instantly reminded of how much I love the tone of this trilogy. I think the narration really compliments the story wonderfully 📚💙

Does anyone into Horror have any recommendations for films like Creggers? I found it struck the balance of cheese and horror really well. I haven’t watched much horror at all but am keen to see if there’s anything else out there similar to Barbarian/ Weapons
Barbarian directed by Zach Cregger is absolutely fantastic. This and Weapons are two of my favourite films I’ve watched this year. A bit gutted there’s only these two horrors he’s done so far. Excited to see a Resident Evil film in the works, I’ll be watching that in the cinema
