Whenever a building with historic architectural details is demolished in my City, the local artifacts bank is supposed to be contacted to salvage items, as I remind them as a volunteer policymaker. Trump took a wrecking ball to the 1942 neo-Classical East Wing, saving nothing.
It does not appear that there was any effort to conserve the historic architectural details of the East Wing of the White House.
