It's quite a remarkable coincidence that Nigel Farage spent years working for Russia Today (RT) and socialising with prominent Russian and other wealthy individuals also linked with Russia. 🧐

For different reasons - jobs, study, family!

Most went to more ethnically diverse countries (Australia, Canada, America + UAE) than the UK!

Because an increasingly ethnonationalist Goodwin has an ever narrow view of who is "British" he instinctively imagines all these British emigrants are white

Meanwhile… the grifting liar and Brexiter in chief, Farage… rakes it in from jobs *other than* being a constituency MP… and his constituency rots. Made poorer and angrier by his Brexit.

Lest we forget. Robert Jenrick approved a £1bn London housing development unlawfully.
The 1,500-home development on the Isle of Dogs, Tower Hamlets, was approved on 14 January.
The timing of the decision meant Conservative Party donor Richard Desmond avoided paying around £40m

Should Gibb be sacked? yes, obviously. He's an abomination of basic journalistic standards. His GB News channel spreads conspiracy theory & disinformation. His Jewish Chronicle newspaper spreads invented stories. He is plainly trying to undermine the BBC so it's as bad as everything else he touches.

Robbie Gibb was appointed to the BBC Board by Boris Johnson, was an editorial advisor for GB News, and worked as Theresa May's Director of Comms.

He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

End political appointments to the BBC.

Now.

We badly need a properly functioning BBC.

It is essential for our democracy.
But that is not enough. No.10 should never have been in a position to install Gibb in the first place. It shouldn't control the board membership, the DG appointment, or the purse strings. What's required is genuine independence for the BBC.
