A valid question is what consequences come if regulations are *further* ignored. GOP ignores law & due process now. And that's been an issue many feel abandoned about by Dem leadership; we always knew law adherence would be at issue, & leadership was unprepared. Funding cuts are eagerly welcomed.

It was fine for Avi Loeb to initially get excited about ʻOumuamua, and to maintain interest in looking for alien life. But then you do the science, realize you were wrong, and move on -- while being completely clear with the outside world that it wasn't aliens. Failure to do that is irresponsible.

A quick search on this site shows that at least three people (myself included) have filed FOIA requests with DOJ for Pam Bondi’s Truth Social messages.

Thanks to the 2016 FOIA amendments, this triggers the Rule of 3, which requires the agency to proactively post records requested 3 or more times.

Federal officials telling social media companies to take down posts was supposedly a free speech crisis. It’s not even really hypocrisy, since the right was lying about much of it.
And this isn’t misinformation, foreign influence ops, or public health, just 1A-protected speech the govt doesn’t like.
