Kyrin

Kyrin is a quiet Ferryman of Heris and has the ability to travel wherever he wants (unlike Arkha, who cannot stray too far from the Afterlife or the River Arkha) as fast as he needs to, though he usually prefers to take it slowly. He is perhaps the most sighted God upon the surface and there are plenty of legends of a mysterious figure paying off everybody's tabs in the busiest tavern around. While on the surface, he extends his services to mortals and, though he does not care for pay, giving him gold will ensure your future journeys go well. if you displease him however...

Arkha

Goddess of Afterlife
Arkha resides in the Palace at the bottom of Heris (The Afterlife) at the mouth of the River Arkha.
She was remarkably impressed as to how Kira was able to descend through Heris, and offered [her] an immortality pact. She also rescued Jeriah from the river surface-side and gave him a small fraction of her power to prevent his death. She knew the two [of them-referring to Kira & Jeriah-] were somewhat related and ordered Kyrin to deliver her poleblade to the Citadel.

Kira Stormwing

Harpy Mage/ Warlock
Kira is a Harpy from the Southern Shardcliffs. She was outcast for practicing Arcane Arts and for refusing to engage in hunting practices. Kira is incredibly skilled in spellcasting and even made a pact with the Old God of The Afterlife "Arkha" for immortality. She built the Azure Citadel to share her arcane knowledge and serves as its headmistress.

Jeriah Waters

Fox Necromancer
Jeriah grew up at the Azure Citadel with Dorin and Eleanor. When he was younger, he fell into -and nearly drowned in- the River Arkha, giving him some control over souls. He later studied Necromancy and started to learn Dark Magic [For context in-universe, "Magic" refers to anything that messes with any Natural Taboos or unknown forces, Arcane refers to the usual spells] to fully bring back someone dear to him...
He eventually fell to Darkblight [a side effect of using Dark Magic, if you are heavily afflicted and you lapse concentration while casting a Dark spell, you lose your mind] and was sealed under the Citadel by Jordyn and Dorin.

Dorin grew up at the Azure Citadel with Eleanor and Jeriah.
Once he was old enough, Dorin learned stormcasting just like his father. He became close friends with Jordyn, and was reluctant to part with him after the Darkblight incident.

Eleanor grew up at the Azure Citael with Dorin and Jeriah. Even at a young age, she was forming bonds with critters, and would eventually learn Druidry.

Jordyn Garren

Wolf Artificer
Jordyn grew up in the quiet village of Pinegrove. when he was 7, it fell under attack by an enraged Wendigo. Wounded, he ran on through the night, not daring to look back. Jordyn eventually trips up in a field and turns to find the beast towering over him, claws poised. It is then struck dead by an arcane lightning bolt and he passes out.
He wakes up in a dorm room at the Azure Citadel, and learns artificing after some time, until one of the students falls to Darkblight, and he is forced to leave...
