But I think, and I'm pretty sure I'm not wrong, that I'm not looking at a long life expectancy.
And that's scary and weird.
(Just for informational purposes, I don't qualify for a transplant, and while I'm not dead set against dialysis, it's hard to imagine I would have the patience for it.
I mean of course who knows. I could get hit by a bus tomorrow. Get shot by ICE. Develop a raging case of acne.
Or I could surprise everybody, my numbers could go back up and I could still be here at the ripe old age of 82. 3
And what she said was, "Well, I hope you get it!"
Which to me meant I might not.
And that in any case, ten years was probably about it.
I may be interpreting that wrong.
But. 2
I told the doc, my long term plan.
I have to outlive my wife.
She is ten years older than me, is disabled, and will always need care.
So I told her I need at least ten more years. 2
So I saw my kidney doc yesterday.
My numbers are down.
This is concerning.
There are some indications that dehydration is involved. (I was in the desert for a week doing a lot of walking.)

Okay, I'm not gonna be brave and go. Had a talk with wife and we agreed that the stupidest thing I could do for my kidneys right now is go stand out in the sun for three hours. So I'm not going and I'm gonna sit here and be mad about it, thankewverymuch.
I'm gonna be brave and go, tho.
One guy on here said contribute to grassroots orgs, especially legal defense and bail funds.
Nurse wants to take blood pressure with a small blood pressure cuff on my forearm.
I tell him he will need a large cuff.
He says he does not have one.
I tell him not to take my blood pressure. He disappears.
A minute later he comes back with a large blood pressure cuff.
Oh, so you do have one.
My aunt and uncle, who are in their late eighties, have switched their party affiliations to Democrat
Imagine thinking for your whole life that you were on the right side, and finally having to admit in your twilight years that you've been wrong.
Wife isn't physically capable of going to the No Kings protest and I'm scared to go alone. Is there some other way I can contribute?
This is hardly original. But I've been thinking lately that we should be worrying less about money and more about the welfare of each other.
Fair! Tho I might just be a prude. Do you think "BigBossDaddy69" is a sexual reference?
So I've been watching "Sinners" on my daily 15-minute walks to nowhere. What a weird, wonderful and wacky movie. So much to unpack. Saying "It's about music, and there are vampires" really doesn't do it justice.
I never want coffee until someone goes by with coffee and I smell coffee and then I must have coffee.
I've had to call Pacer for one of our attorneys. On hold an hour and a half so far. Which is a long time to have to listen to the same saxophone solo.
She's a lot better this morning. Temp back down to normal and no vomiting in more than a day.
I'm back at work.
Apropos of nothing, if you are creating a password for any kind of work related account, you might want to not incorporate crude sexual references. I'm just sayin'.
I had an apple and cashew butter this morning and my blood sugar went up to 268. I hate diabetes so much.
Awww. First morning back in Texas and wife is sick. Nausea and vomiting. Pretty much the only thing we had to eat yesterday was sandwiches from a sandwich place and lots of trail mix.
Super close up of cricket's ear. You can see where it was torn, maybe in a fight. She's our retirement kitty now. No more fights.
