Ok, *I* find it funny.

The park down the hill from us today. That's normally a river and a pond. We live just off this picture, our street comes off the street shown. We're about 30 feet above this, on the left side, it would have to be pretty weird to impact us, but there are homes on the right side of the picture/river.

Today marks 8 years since the last event in what can only be described as the hardest year for me. Divorce from a diagnosed narcissist, fatal car accident, and on 12/19 my mom died. All in 8 months. I still have my same therapist🤣 When people remark on how well I'm coping with my leg, it always

My crazy aunt told my husband he shouldn't marry me because of this🤣 It started because I asked my neighbor who put her lights up. All she said was "oh, he's really expensive." Bitch, I didn't ask what it cost. So, I put it random inflatables year round🤣

Talking about the greater Seattle area . . . makes me think of the first time I saw the Space Needle. My dad told us we could afford to go up, but couldn't afford to get back down😄

I walked a total of 32 feet yesterday, and my long leg is sore today😄

This infuriates me for so many reasons. I've only ever voted by mail. Oregon has had it for years, we don't have polling places anymore. It's far safer to vote in your own home than in a public space.
Trump: "We should knock out the filibuster. If you did that, we'd get voter ID, you'd have no mail in voting, all things that make our elections dishonest."

Some good (for my mental health) news. It's test socket take 2 day today! If all goes well, I should get my temp leg next week. One step (haha🤣) closer to walking.

Starting using a knee scooter instead of a walker today. I was only using it upstairs to get to my office from the bedroom, and to the bathroom. Um, what a game changer and knee saver❤️😍❤️

My younger cousin made a literal gallon+ of gluten free chicken noodle soup for us and brought it, frozen, to my dads birthday dinner. So we'll be eating chicken noodle soup for a while😄 It's super sweet of her to do it, it is A LOT of soup.

Kitten and momma update: we got a video of the kittens tonight, they were playing in their new forever home! They both got spayed and adopted together ❤️ The momma is with a foster who specializes in feral cats, so she's being socialized. Good ending for all 3🎉

My husband I both work from home and offices next door to each other.
Me: "did you see the MyPillow guy is going to ruin for Governor of Minnesota?"
Him: "get the f$#k outta here"

It's been suggested that I join some amputee FB groups. Hard pass. Most were just AI pics of young women with one leg. Might be better off just joining OF🤣

I just ordered the cake for my dads 75th birthday. I'm not confident it won't say "57th," as I had to correct the bakery lady twice😄

There would not be a social safety net in this country had Frances Perkins not dedicated her life to improving worker's rights. @hcrichardson.bsky.social points out how this #WomanInHistory directly affects our current lives.

My grandpa, being honored at Pearl Harbor in 2016. He was a 17 year old Merchant Marine (he lied to get in😄). 17 years old, pulling bodies out of the water. He would go on to be a bar pilot, choppering out to ships to bring them into the Columbia from the Pacific. The OG Antifa.

This reminds me of fuckwits 1st term. I have an old blow mold Mary and Joseph that was missing the Baby Jesus. I was going to put them out in the yard, with a CPK in a dog crate, separated by a candy cane fence. My husband talked me out of it🤷‍♀️ I should have done it anyway.
A parish down in Boston replaced Jesus, Mary and Joseph with a placard that reads “ICE was here.”

Glad to hear Gov. Kotek is running for re-election. You're picking my boss, please don't make it dumb, baby-voice Drazan.
Thankful to have the support of Oregon nurses!
